Flute & Piano Instruction for All Ages & Skill Levels
I teach flute and piano lessons for students of many ages and experience levels, from young beginners to adults returning to music after time away. Lessons are structured, encouraging, and centered on each student’s goals.
In-home lessons can make music easier to fit into a busy week. There is no commute, no parking, and no waiting room. Students can learn in a familiar space, and families with more than one child can often schedule back-to-back lessons at home.
Lessons are shaped around each student’s instrument, level, and goals. Some students are learning their first notes. Others want support with school music, auditions, performances, or a creative outlet. I help students build strong fundamentals while developing confidence, curiosity, and healthy practice habits.
Instruments Taught
Piano: Students work on note reading, rhythm, hand position, technique, music theory, chords, sight-reading, and musical expression.
Flute: Students work on tone, breath, posture, technique, rhythm, phrasing, repertoire, and performance preparation. Depending on the student’s goals, lessons may also include body awareness, vibrato, orchestral excerpts, piccolo, baroque flute, or adaptive playing options.
Service Areas & Remote Options
In-Person Travel Area: Greater Boston metro area (including Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Newton, and surrounding communities).
Beyond Greater Boston? Go Virtual. If you live outside the metro Boston area or prefer flexible digital scheduling, high-definition online lessons are available via Zoom. I work to ensure that your remote learning is just as interactive, engaging, and effective as in-person!
